The Kinetic MREX™ Modular Receiver Extension is a lightweight, durable upgrade for the SCAR, offering a sleek profile and improved modularity. Its extended rail enhances accessory space, balances the rifle, and supports modern forward handholds.
The MK2 4.25” and 2.2” versions add M-Lok slots at the 2 o’clock and 10 o’clock positions, shielding the gas block and expanding mounting options. The 4.25” version features a step-down front sight design, replacing the 12 o’clock picatinny rail with M-Lok for versatility. The 2.2” version, perfect for 10” SBR setups, offers compact M-Lok compatibility without extending beyond the gas block.

The Kinetic MREX™ Modular Receiver Extension is designed to be simple, durable, and lightweight. The slim profile of the MREX greatly improves the aesthetic of the SCAR by giving it a long sleek profile. Its extended rail length in front of the front sight/gas block increases the rifle’s modularity by increasing the real estate for accessory attachments as well as improves ergonomics by better accommodating the modern forward support hand rifle hold and improving the overall rifle’s balance. The MREX’s one piece construction ensures maximum durability without any significant weight penalty.
Compared to the 4.9” version, both the 4.25” and 2.2” MK2 versions feature additional M-Lok slots at the 2 o’clock and 10 o’clock positions, providing new mounting options and shielding the gas block. The 4.25” version retains the step-down forward design of the front folding sight like the MREX but replaces the traditional 12 o’clock picatinny rail with M-Lok slots for enhanced versatility. The 2.2” version, ideal for 10” SBR configurations or SCAR users wanting M-Lok compatibility without extending beyond the gas block, offers similar improvements with a compact design tailored for shorter setups.
